No — the opposite is the intended effect. By controlling H₂O₂ decomposition, Sylic Oxygen Bleaching Stabilizer helps achieve more even, higher whiteness and reduces the risk of localized over-oxidation or fiber damage that can lead to uneven or dull finishes.

What is an oxygen (hydrogen peroxide) bleaching stabilizer, and why is it needed?
▼An oxygen bleaching stabilizer controls the decomposition rate of hydrogen peroxide (H₂O₂) during textile bleaching. Without it, peroxide breaks down too quickly and unevenly, damaging cellulose fibers and causing uneven whiteness. Sylic®Oxygen Bleaching Stabilizer keeps decomposition stable and controlled, delivering uniform, high-whiteness results while protecting the fiber.
What's the difference between Sylic P1601 and Sylic P1604?
▼- Sylic P1601 — light yellow to yellowish-brown transparent liquid, pH 3.0–5.0 (stock solution), anionic. Suited for both intermittent and continuous pre-treatment processes.
- Sylic P1604 — white powder, anionic. Purpose-built for high-temperature continuous bleaching and cold pad-batch (cold rolled pile) oxygen bleaching.
Both control H₂O₂ decomposition and improve fabric whiteness. If you run continuous or cold pad-batch lines, P1604 is purpose-built for that; if your process mixes batch and continuous, P1601 offers more flexibility.
What is the correct dosage for Sylic Oxygen Bleaching Stabilizer?
▼- Sylic P1604: general recommended dosage is 5–20% of the hydrogen peroxide dosage used in your bleaching bath.
- Sylic P1601: dosage is process-dependent (batch vs. continuous) and not fixed on the datasheet — we recommend a small trial with your specific recipe, or contact our technical team for a dosage matched to your machine and fabric.
Which fabrics and fibers is this stabilizer compatible with?
▼Sylic P1604 is confirmed for cellulose fiber and its blends. Sylic P1601 is used across intermittent and continuous pre-treatment more broadly; for fiber-specific compatibility outside standard cotton/cellulose blends, it’s best to confirm with our technical team before running production.
